The Afghans have been doing that to each other and to foreign invaders since
the get go. If you read Rudyard Kipling accounts of the Afghan invasion of
the 19th century, Russian accounts of the 80's and more recent news reports,
they all read the same. These are not nice people when it comes to
prisoners. Hopefully the UN can get its act together and get a peace keeping
force in there before too long.
