Yea, if you look at it in your "now" eyes, it looks that way.

For me, that movie came out when I was a young pre-teenager, and all that 
stuff they talked about was relevant to me at the time.  Now it just looks 
dated, but I enjoy it 'cause it reminds me of simpler times (for me 
anyway).....
