My wife and I have NO plans to ever have children. We are not kid people,
and that is one of the key things that brought us together. We don't want
to procreate, but we are still married. Reading your argument makes me
think that I should not be married, since I don't care to contribute to the
overpopulation of the planet.

I think your argument's biological basis is way off.

Marriage is simply an agreement between two people who love each other to
spend the rest of their lives together. Period. Biology has nothing to do
with it. Neither does the church, or the state, or your or anyone else's
opinions, really. If I want to marry Harry, then who gives a flying
crap? I'm happy, I am not infringing on another's rights, it just
shouldn't be an issue.
