No, he was Catholic also. I just feel like the whole annullment thing
has just become another formality. People seem to pick and choose
what parts of their religion they want to believe or use to chastize
other people for not believing. That's what turned me off on the
Catholic faith generally. The Roman Catholic faith is quite a bit
different from the American Catholic faith in my opinion. Sometimes
when I talk with Catholics and the issue of birth control comes up and
I'll mention that the church still does not accept it, the typical
response is "true, but in this day and age.....blah blah blah". Birth
control and divorce seem to be some basic things that separate the
Catholic church from some of the protestant variants, so why would you
not become protestant and belong to an organization that believes the
same way you do. Could it be that Catholics feel deep inside that
only Catholics will be in heaven waving at all of the protestants down
in hell. Probably:)

Of course most of the protestants I've talked to feel the same:)

My wife just went to the Gaither family concert. During the show they
had a comedian who had people of different "sects" of christianity
raise their hands. Baptists, Lutherans, Catholics, etc. we all in
attendance. He said "It's great that so many people of different
beliefs can come here and enjoy the music and fellowship and worship
Jesus.......(long pause).......too bad somebody's wrong"
