Back in the early to mid-eighties I saw Echo & The Bunnymen and REM in
a 200 person venue. At that time not many people had heard of them -
I think it was during the "Wolves, Lower" REM stuff and Echo had "Do
It Clean" maybe.

Anyway, Ian McCullough (sp?) got so drunk he fell off of the stage in
the middle of a song. The band stopped playing for about 5 seconds
and then Ian started singing from the floor and the band started
playing again. He finished the song from the floor and after the
crowd went wild when he got back on the stage.
