Exactly - that's why it's somewhat hard to compare.  A decent corkage
fee, IMO, is $5 - $10.  Also the wines are usually paired with the
food by the Chef (if it's a decent restraurant) so that usually
explains the variety.

In the Ferry building in San Francisco I bought a nice Malbec and paid
a $6 corkage fee in the attached wine bar.  Good deal IMHO since I was
staying at a hotel wanted to drink the wine there.  Right now.  BAM!
