You know, I wonder if there are liberals out there anymore. I mean I
know there's your typical deluded rich dude or hippy chick, but I'm
talking about true blue suburban liberals. Here's what I'd consider
are core components:
1.) Believes that competition is unfair.
2.) Believes that government is the best solution to most social problems.
3.) Believes that people's fiscal mistakes or poor choices should be
subsidized by government.
I've skipped over environmentalism since it's a truly conservative
issue despite what everyone thinks ("Every good capitalist knows waste
impoverishes us all." -- Adam Smith)
Does anyone believe those things anymore? I can't imagine they do if
they work for a living.
