I like Cameron's response....yeah, there are probably many of those people 
still out there, but they are less likely to admit it.

I get the feeling that these days, more and more people define their 
political affiliations based on their beliefs in the social realm. So if a 
person is pro-choice, for instance, they are more likely to consider 
themselves a "liberal", even if they don't necessarily agree with many of 
the economic or legistlative agendas of the left.

Same for the right. The religious nuts are sure to call themselves 
"conservatives", even as we watch them continue to support a president who 
spends like no liberal in recent memory!
