This isn't a tax cut - it's a subsidy to the wealthy.  If you don't
cut spending, then cutting revenue is just more spending.  All of your
arguments make perfect sense yet what you're missing is the reality:

The same Republicans that put forward this "cause" also crafted and
voted for record amounts of pork!  See the problem?  First they reward
the ultra-rich with the revocation of the "death tax"  (what
percentage of family farms do you think there are vs. millionaires? 
if they're worried about farms why not just make the exemption for
farms?)

Next they reward each senator with record amounts of pork, but they
don't have the money to pay for the pork or the cuts, so they borrow
it.  And, if that weren't enough, they structure the payback so that
only $9 billion hits in the first 10 years with a $281 billion payment
in the next 5.  That's not spreading it out, that's hiding the
downside until you've forgotten what's happened.
