I was in Omaha for a short while some years back and there was at
least one gay club there... Not sure if Omaha qualifies as being
"liberal" or a "hot bed"... though it doesn't seem like the border of
Nebraska and Iowa would be... They are in the "bible belt" no? ... or
at least the "midwest" -- they fall into that category of having a lot
of farmland and not significant population density. I think gay people
get pretty resourcefull about being quiet when they live in an area
that's not accepting because they're still in high-school and living
with their folks or for other reasons need to be in those types of
areas. Resourcefull or celibate.
