I don't know if its big enough to dictate an election but swing one maybe...
Obvouisly it was a big enough deal that Kerry felt like he had to say
something to try and swing them, problem was he got caught. And whether Larry
wants to believe it or not, the ppl in the military just were fumed at Kerry.

We can go round and round bout this but its good we all have our opinions and
I will say again, I'm really not a Bush supporter, don't think I am but the the
bottom line is that he IS our President and we DO have troops in harms way and
it shouldn't matter what your beleif is on the subject, you better support what
you have and if you are such an ass that you can't then leave, don't come back
and never ask for our help. The world ain't daisies all the time and just be
thankful we aren't in an epic scale global war agian and gee I wonder why that
would be?

This is why we shouldnt have polital discussions on these groups, because it
makes us judge and bicker with each other when we shouldn't be :(

Not according to his own people. His people claimed he was strongest
with the religious community and that he won because (to paraphrase)
they were able to make a large number of Baptists (and other
fundamentalist Christians) foam at the mouth about Kerry. (I think the
words they used were "convinced them to come out and vote", but then
they wouldn't win any awards for political correctness by being blunt
on national TV.)

Is the military even a large enough percentage of the population for
their votes to sway the election much? I was under the impression they
just weren't a large enough demographic to make a real significant
difference.
