My guess could be the color of the disc, my DVD player is a good 4-5
years old.  When I first got it there was a brand of CD (I cant
remember which at the moment) that I could burn a VCD to and the
player would pick it up and play it.  Other discs it would just spit
it back out.  The similar is with the DVDs at the moment, I havnt
found one that my player picks up, but all the pcs here can read then,
as well as my mates player.
