the league used to be arranged into four divisions - 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th!! However, the advent of sky tv and the enormous amounts of money flying around encouraged the top clubs to form the Premier League. So now it goes, Premier League, 1st, 2nd, 3rd. The premier league has, in my opinion, become pretty dull recently, with Manchester United winning it every year, although it looks unlikely that they will this season. The first division is much more interesting. We (crystal palace) currently lie in a respectable 3rd place but have three games in hand over the 1st placed team and 1 over the second placed team. So, we are looking good for being top by Christmas. The top two teams get promoted to the Premier League, as does the winner of a play-off between the teams placed 3rd to 6th. Season runs from August to May. Oh yeah, you get 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and none for a loss. Don't ask about offside!! ;) will -----Original Message----- From: Erika L. In fact, in my area, everyone is either a Jets fan or a Giants fan. I hate both, though I hate the Giants less ......... so, several years ago, Jacksonville started their franchise league, and I became a permanent fan. An unknown, unproven team. Nobody could acuse me ... and they aren't half bad. Almost made it to the Super Bowl year 2! So, the Eagles are like in 5th place? Are rankings the same?
