you are absolutely correct that the local brighton and hove team is called brighton and hove albion, or the seagulls. HOWEVER, they are the hated and most despised rivals of my team, crystal palace, also known as the eagles. there are an enormous number of teams, 92 in the professional divisions, plus hundreds of other teams. The league structure in england is very rich, certainly in terms of diversity. traditionally, people would support their local team, but woth manchester united the most supported team in the country, that is obviously no longer the case.
