<quote> Only 400 miles? Clearly you have never had to drive across Texas before ;) I say Vegas, I hear it is "neat" </quote>
Five comments about Texas: 1) I don't think Texas counts as an "Eastern" state, or at least I don't think many of the residents would. 2) 400 miles is only 1/2 the length of the state from mid north to mid south (Sacramento to Orange County). There are about 100 miles left to the south and 300 miles left to the north I don't have to cross. 3) I used to drive across Texas a few times a year and it only took me a couple of hours. ..... Ok, Ok, it was just the panhandle on I40, but I crossed the state. :) 4) Best reply 1 - Texan: "It takes me two days to drive across Texas!" Reply: "Yeah, I used to have a piece of sh.t car like that too." 5) Best replay 2 - Texan: Brags about the size of his state. Alaskan: "Oh be quiet, Alaska could split itself in half and there would be TWO states bigger then Texas!" j/k mostly. P.S. I went to college in New Mexico, just a dozen miles east of Texas. Was a lot of [mostly] friendly rivalary there. -------------- Ian Skinner Web Programmer BloodSource www.BloodSource.org Sacramento, CA "C code. C code run. Run code run.
