Except that The Carlyle Group is a private investment group, so they have no 
need to be transparent. 

My general sense is that this is politics as usual, as Kevin pointed out. These 
folks want to make it seem like they are just combating the sinister Right that 
has been ahead of them in this game with Fox and Heritage, but there are plenty 
of Left of center organizations that have been around for a long time. This is 
just Soros and his network attempting to stick their big noses in it.
