yup...that's Palace for you. Never a dull moment they say, but I personally don't believe it.
Mind you, it has been a pretty interesting few years. We went into administration, nearly went out of business. Survived in the first division thanks to our excellent youth policy which meant we could sell many of our senior players and play the younger ones. This has worked out well for us, with a couple of the younger ones in particular being pretty hot property at the moment (El Presidente - Clinton Morrison). The there is just avoiding relegation last season, but getting to a cup semi final and beating Liverpool 2-1 at home. Now this season, with us flying high and looking good for promotion. We have scored something like 41 goals in 17 games, which is an average of 2.4 goals a game. Most of those goals, though, have been scored at home (28 in 10 games = 2.8 a game). So the chances of you seeing a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park these days are pretty slim. Infact, we've only drawn once in all 17 games. will -----Original Message----- From: Philip Arnold - ASP [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 20 November 2001 11:26 To: CF-Community Subject: RE: American Football.. > true...I forgot that most soccer (I use that word for the benefit of our > American friends) fans watch games in the pub. I have been to one live Palace game - it was one of the most boring experience of my life - I actually left after half time, it was nil-nil, and after I left, nothing happened... a complete draw with only about 2 attempts at goal... I was sooooooo bored... it was a friend's attempt at getting me to like soccer, he failed miserably <g> The best fun I have watching a match is when a striker gets within a few yards and completely spoons the ball, making it go wide or over the top - I piss myself laughing... gets angry looks from fans, but I don't care <g> Philip Arnold Director Certified ColdFusion Developer ASP Multimedia Limited T: +44 (0)20 8680 1133 "Websites for the real world" ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
