I drive a F250 Powerstroke every day, I tend to average 17.5mpg every month. Sometimes I have my 14-15mpg tanks and sometimes my 19-20mpg tanks. Last two have been about 18.5mpg Only reason I have the thing is because I was able to write off a ton of the purchase price and thought I was going to continue with my racing hobby. I am just living with it for a year or two more then no telling what I will get. Maybe by then I will wise up and get a moped for the commute. :)
