Don't get me wrong: I'm really looking for to it. I'll buy one day one. But could that MTV special have been more lame?
"Hey, let's play a game! But let's only show the faces of the people playing!" "Why don't we introduce the console by throwing it on a table and immediately making it impossible to look at by bathing it in laser light!" "Everybody's interested in the Xbox 360 - so let's spend 75% of the show with a musical number and a retarded Xbox mod!" Completely disappointing. The only real information I gleaned was: 1) The Live "marketplace" would be available across games. 2) Downloads are available (although no information on where the damn things would be stored). 3) The controllers are wireless (although we still didn't see a decent picture of them). 4) The console faceplate can change (great if you're "Queer Eye for the Straight Console"). 5) It'll be, apparently, "off the hook".
