Can you smoke without getting high like you can drink without getting drunk?
If not, then that's a big reason not to legalize it.

Adam, I just had to wipe a tear off my cheek.  A POUND?  Wow.

Since I haven't weighed in yet, I have to vote for legalize it!  I mean, 
stories like these really irk me.  Adam's dad shouldn't have had to feel 
like a criminal if this was the only thing that brought him a feeling of 
relief in an otherwise sea of pain.  Silliness.
