Actually I would like to see something like this in here. I would change it so that any site offering products or services or otherwise transacting financial business should have to be registered with an agency that monitors complaints and watches for fraud. Any site transacting business that is not registered can be closed down instantly. In order to operate any other kind of business you must have a business license etc... Yet on the web it is possible to do business anonymously. Why? For consumer safety I think it's a good idea.
However, personal sites, blogs, political sites, etc... that do not offer to transact business should not require registration. -----Original Message----- From: Erika L Walker-Arnold [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, June 08, 2005 5:31 AM To: CF-Community Subject: A CF site and a reason to be thankful we live in the US http://www.thewhir.com/marketwatch/blo060705.cfm Well - at least we don't have to register our blogs with the government ...... .....
