Then what did my parents pay for?

If you knew the convoluted tax system we go by here in NH, you'd 
understand my pissed-offedness.  We have the richer towns "revenue 
sharing" with the poorer towns, so I have to pay for my town's schools, 
PLUS those that are up north.  Plus, we have no income or state sales 
tax, so our property taxes are supposed to take care of everything.  I 
am paying insane taxes on a $230,000 home (about $3500 per year), so I 
get noticibly agitated at this subject.
