Only stressful if you have family obligations. We no longer "do"
holidays.

The only holiday we indulge in with "family" is Thanksgiving with the
Churvii. :D And Adam is a WONDERFUL friend, has a WONDERFUL family and
is a great cook - so it's an absolute pleasure. Plus they are very close
by. :)

We wanted to be married on New Year's Eve originally - but the
registrars office was not open. So we had to take the next closest date.
I was only in England for a certain amount of time, so options were also
limited.

Michael Smith flew over to be at the wedding with us, as did one other
friend of mine from NJ. That date happened to work for all involved :)

We basically eloped - no other family, just a few friends and Phil's
grandmum.

Cheers,
Erika

##| Three days after Xmas? If you had kids, I'd suggest that you had a
##| shotgun wedding, but I know better. Why that date? Seems rather
##| stressful, IMO.
