All reviews and "Professional Considerations" aside, I have to cast my vote for PS2.
.. not that I own any of the systems (or any system for that matter), but it makes sense when you have the following to think about: Game Cube - By Nintendo, a known name in the gaming market. That's the plus... very few games out yet, that's the downside. I think the sticker is $300 xBox - By Microsoft. Already heard the possibility of a BSOD (??)... again very few games out. The sticker on this one is $300. DVD support available with an additional $50 adapter. PS2 - By Sony, another name in entertainment. Plays PS2 games, PS1 games, native CD player and a native DVD player. Tons of games (ranging in price) available. Cost is $300. Personally I doubt I'll ever buy a gaming system, especially after I see how I play computer games now. I'll buy one and play it for a week or two, then it gets shelved. I'll toss a fit if I can't find it when I want to play it months later, but then that urge passes and I go back to doing something else.
