My opinion. First, history: In the past, I only owned Nintendo sytems.
I've owned them all up to the N64.

I purchased the PS2 a few months back and have been _very_ impressed
with it. I'm also happy that I can play some PS1 games that never showed
up on Nintendo (like the FF series).

I've seen the XBox. Haven't played it. My opinion - while I like the
hard drive aspect, the games (except for Halo), don't impress. I'll
explain why in a moment.

I've played a bit of Gamecube. Again, not too impressed (except for the
SW games).

So, in general, it's not fair to judge XBox and Gamecube yet, but, this
is what I was surprised about. Both systems do NOT seem like they are
better than PS2. They both seem to be as good as PS2, but I was really
expecting more from systems that took a whole year more to come out. I
was not 'impressed' is what I'm saying.

That means it all comes down to the games.
