I think this was just a tactical mistake on Rove's part.  His skill is
politics, not national security.  I think when we saw a way to
discredit Amb. Wilson he plowed ahead without putting on his newly
minted national security hat.

Plainly, he feked it up.  The President, for his part, should've told
him that it's too bad he made that mistake, but he needs to go.  By
not doing that he shows an allegience to his friends over national
security and that's not a quality we can have in a commander-in-chief.
