The Village was probably my least favorite of his movies, but I did like it. I don't know why, but I've always found the woods to be creepy - so the scene where they would go to edge and put their back to the trees just scared the living crap out of me.
Funny side story. When I was a young kid, I read all the books I could on Bigfoot. So naturally when I would visit my grandparents in Louisiana, I'd be just a little bit worried. They lived in a nice house out in the woods. I used to sleep downstairs in a room with a window on the side, and a window next to the front porch. The room had a bed by each window.
