We have the Kansas Citizens for Science here. The do all they can, but it's a losing battle here.
With the recent board of education "debates" though, the science community here has pretty much thrown in the towel. I can't really blame them. How can you have an educated debate over something that is so blatantly obvious? Thinking person: "I want science taught in our science classes" Idiot: "I want my unprovable, untestable, unverifiable, faith-based ideas on creation taught in our science classes."
