Before there was an Islam, there were Jews in Israel. Before there was a Christianity, there were Jews in Israel (without those Jews there would be no Christianity). When Assyria was building pyramids of skulls to advertise their expertise, there were Jews in Israel. Yeh, we've been there a while and the people before us were (according to biblical account) all killed off (the Canaanites). The Arabs came later.
