Your analogy is all wrong.
It's more like this.
You and your neighbors lived in shacks in the woods and some Native
Americans offered to buy the land your shacks were on. Some people
sold and left while others waited. Then the government said leave and
we'll kill all the Native Americans in these woods and when they're
all dead you can have your land back. But the Native Americans win and
build big cities. Now you still want your land back and you don't want
to live amongst the Native Americans.
