Make no mistake, the bulk of the people that make up the insurgency are Sunni
Baathists who they hate the Shiites and the Kurds WAY more than they hate the
United States. We just happen to be in the way of them controlling the country.
Remember, these are the same people that tortured and murdered Shiites by the
thousands and unleashed chemical weapons on the Kurds and the Iranians. They
are NOT nice people. And yet they are model citizens compared to the lunatics
that make up the rest of the insurgency- people who would wipe out Western
civilization and re-build the 12th century Muslim caliphates if they had the
power.
