As an aside - isn't about time Flash had the concept of URLs?  And that
browsers had the ability to change their visible addresses based on
differing states of the current page?

(I don't do Flash myself, but I think it's possible to jump to points in the
movie based on the URL, is it?  So many some of this is doable now... but
just being ignored.)

Why do you have to say "Once inside..."

Why can't you just say "Go visit this link!":

/gallery/index_flash.html?FlashLink=moviename:shortcutname

(And, of course, when you're navigating within the movie the browser's
address bar should change accordingly - without a page reload!)

Uh?  Uh?!

I've just been noticing a lot of cases where people are trying to point out
something cool in massive Flash presentations and always have to give
instructions...
