Can you back up that claim? I'm just wondering if it is factual or you're just making a sarcastical statement on lawyers.
I once asked a good friend (who is a lawyer) about collections on such things. He said the percentage goes down the larger the settlement. If memory serves me it was a sliding scale. So, while 'he' takes 20-25% of my dinky claim for under 10 thousand, he'll get a smaller percentage for anything over 100 thousand, and yet an even smaller percentage for anything over 1 million, etc... I am unclear if this is a "written rule" somewhere or just standard practice.
