Well, when I read the law and the news reports from the LA riots on the
subject I found a couple of things. US Military personnel are NOT allowed to
arrest, search or seize. And LA Law enforcement stated that Troops were only
used to maintain security in areas that had already been secured by police
but they didn't have the numbers to maintain a full presence in the area.
