Scott,

We crate him. Just get on a schedule and remember puppies can hold their
business 1 hour for every month old they are (roughly). Our schedule is
below:

04:30 AM - Herbie wakes up, goes right outside to piss and/or shit
05:30 AM - Herbie eats beffffffus
06:15 AM - Herbie goes outside again to take care of business
06:45 AM - Herbie goes back into his crate, Emily and I head off to work
10:30 AM - I come home, take Herbie right outside to do his business
10:45 AM - Herbie eats lunch
11:15 AM - Herbie goes outside to take care of business
11:30 AM - Herbie goes back into his crate and I go back to work
03:30 PM - I come home, take Herbie on a nice long walk through Rock
Creek Park
05:00 PM - Herbie eats dinner

We play with him from 5:00 until 9:30 ish. If he gets to wild he takes a
timeout in his crate for 10 or 15 minutes. We also do a couple more
walks between 5 and 9. It all depends what he is up for.

Right now we still get up around 1 or 2 to let him outside to crap or he
will go in his crate as he can't hold it all night, yet. Also, no food
or treats after 7. Water only.

HTH,

Mike

PS... Get a crate! Get a correction collar too....
