My housekeeper once had an incident in her house where she heard someone come in, walk loudly up the stairs, bang around in an old chair in the living room ... And when she went to look, there was no one there.
It was 2 am. No one else was home (her husband was working a night job). At least these incidents seem devoid of any hostile intention ... There's no violence involved. Aren't poltergeists usually hostile?
