Blackcurrant (cassis) and blackberry (and, to some extent, black cherry) are
very near and dear to me -- so much so that the Cabernet Sauvignons I choose
all have definite overtones of these flavors.

If you really like these flavors in a hot tea, there is one tea I truly love
that you may also like. It's from Russia, where it's considered a "premium
nostalgia tea" because it was the type preferred during Romanov times. It's
called Czar Nikolas II, and it is a black tea containing liberal amounts of
black currant leaves and strawberry leaves. Lovely fragrance, and you'll
want a second cup.

It's a loose tea only, so you'll need a strainer. I used to use an infuser
until I saw Alton Brown's demonstration of why they can never make a really
great cup of tea. The leaves have to float nice and loose to give up all
their goodness, so I pour water on the tea, let it steep, and then pour into
a second cup through a strainer. I was surprised at the difference in
flavor.

If you can't find it where you are then contact me offlist and I'll find a
source for you.

Respectfully,
