I don't know about cost these days, but I love St. Croix. It's a tiny little island that is very mellow and beautiful. It was substantially destroyed in a hurricane a few years ago, but I think things are back to normal there. My parents love Nevis, but I've never been there. It's another mellow spot. My brother-in-law and his wife did the Atlantis resort (in the Bahamas I think) and thought it was the bomb. All of those places are good for couples, not drunken frat-boy destinations.
