So I have this one desktop machine that can't see any other machines on my network. They can all see each other, and my desktop can see them, but they can't see it. I have been tearing my hair out trying to get this to work but nothing obvious is working.
1) They all have the same workgroup name. 2) The desktop can see it's own open ports, but none of the other machines can. 3) The router can't (shouldn't) be the problem because the other machines can see each other. 4) There is no firewall on the desktop. Use to have ZoneAlarm on it, but uninstalled it over a year ago. I have this theory that ZoneAlarm switched on some obscure windows port blocking thing, then didn't switch it back off during uninstall, but I can't find anything anywhere.
