Frist's thing looks like all smoke and no fire, unless there is specific
evidence that someone told him to sell.

The details of Delay's indictment basically speak to the way PACs get around
funding rules. Everyone does it, and unless the prosecutor has specific
evidence of a quid pro quo- we'll give the national PAC this much money and the
national PAC will give us at least that much back- the charges are going
nowhere. Delay is damaged goods, though.

The OMB guy is done for, and rightly so.

Louisiana Democrats, not federal Republicans, are the big losers in the Katrina
scandal. Governor Blanco is totally incompetent and should be impeached by her
own legislature. The really big story, though, is that the massive re-location
of people may swing the balance of power in the state from the Democrats to the
Republicans.

Valerie who? ;-) That story is so 2003. Judy Miller is out of jail. Scooter
Libby was her source, although apparently he already testified and told
everything he knew. The grand jury ends this month. My prediction- no
indictments.

In other words, business as usual in Washington, DC.
