um, stupid question perhaps but why does usb matter for a hard drive? This laptop does have 1.0, which is why I am thinking HD not thumb drive. For most of what I currently use a thumb drive for (sneakerware) it doesn't matter but I don't want to run red hat from it. Also, the keystrokes ofr the CMOS don't seem to be documented anywhere, googled it to death. (More precisely, there are several documented for this model and it doesn't seem to be any of them)
