Are you looking at another hard drive for your laptop that slides into
the drive bay (and replaces the existing drive), or are you looking at
an external drive solution as a complementary drive?

I might have gotten confused on what you were looking for.

If you were looking for an external drive, most external drives today
are either usb or firewire (or both). Since firewire is less
ubiquitous, I assumed you would be using usb to connect to the
external drive. And having suffered last weekend through formatting
and filling a 150GB drive through USB 1.0, I just wanted to warn you
it hurts.
