Personally I would split things 50/50.

If you make no money then no harm, no foul - nothing's lost, nothing's
gained. If you make some money then you're both in the same boat - no
jealously or fingerpointing. If you makes loads of money then so what?
Half a load is just as just as good as 80% of a load for the most part. ;^)

But more seriously if you included this person as far as you have then you
recognize the need. You recognize 1) that this kind of work is essential to
the development of the company and b) that you can't do it.

If there's a work differential (you're doing more work than he is) then you
may want to address that via the salaries taken from the company, not via
this. Of course you can also just give him more work to do (young companies
have no lack of work - if he's done with the current accounts he might work
on the growth strategy, promotional timelines, etc - there's always
something).

If you're worried about ultimate control of the company that's perhaps more
serious. You can gain this by assuming 51% of the shares - for all intents
and purposes you're equal but in reality you've got the controlling
interest.

Not to be a downer... but the likelihood of the company succeeding is small
(sorry, it just is) so the likelihood of the "shares" actually ever meaning
anything are smaller. So why hamstring yourself with politics while trying
to get off the ground?
