Allow me to brag a minute. Many of the kids in our new
high-Hummer-per-capita neighborhood are doing the goth thing. I asked my
homeschooled son (15) about this and he rolled his eyes and said: "I don't
have to paint my fingernails black to be cynical about the government." I
told him he was a smart kid.
