I am generally against govt meddling in anything at all, including
this. We are all grown adults (I think).

The incentive for me is that I don't want to spend years of my live in
my car driving to and from a community of strip malls and
cookie-cutter restaurants, wasting away sitting in traffic and
listening to my blood pressure go up. I'd much rather avoid traffic
and live in a fun area full of tons of unique things to do and places
to go within walking distance of my home.

It's definitely a lifestyle decision, and I'm not interested in my tax
dollars going towards folks who live in the burbs to convince them
that they are the ones causing the problem of traffic in large cities.
