Sure, we disagree. But you are in fact eligible for vouchers, if you have kids. OK, you don't have kids? Life's unfair sometimes. I don't either, and I pay taxes, far more than many people with kids in schools that I am paying for. Life's unfair.
The issue here is that we're talking about the raising of children, which is bigger than the fact you don't drive or don't play in the park. That is a very bad analogy. Federal money should not be spent on private schools who discriminate (in the broadest sense of that word). Vouchers are not tax refunds. If they were, then I should get them back, too. They are public funds earmarked for public schools being redirected to private schools. If we started treating all taxes in this manner, I should get back all tax money spent on roads (since I don't drive), all money spent on public parks (since I spend my time on my own land), and all money spent on courts (since I have never sued anyone.).
