That would be a pretty difficult thing to do seeing as there isn't just one whois database. If there was such a function which I don't think there is, you'd still have to query every whois database responsible for each TLD to figure out what domains they owned within that TLD namespace... And given that there are hundreds of TLDs when you include country codes, you could be querying a lot of systems....
