Oh, I'm fucking LIVID!!

I mean, it is a disaster. This guy, in my opinion was EXACTLY what the
Red Sox have been lacking in any GM in the past ten, maybe twenty years.
His goal was to build up the farm system, and never compromised the
future of the team by giving away very promising young talent for a
quick fix at any position. He made sure to not get into any long-term
contracts that would hurt the team down the road, no matter what the
consequences (see Pedro Martinez). He was well liked by both the
players and the fans alike, and now he's gone. It's really a shame, but
I have to admit, being a Sox fan, it's just another black mark on the
long list of black marks that Red Sox upper management has racked up.

There's a *slight* chance that he may be back, or so WEEI (Boston Sports
radio) will have us believe. There is a press conference scheduled for
1PM today with Theo, and I'm hoping they came up with some kind of
agreement in the past two days, but I'm not holding my breath...

Ho hum....fuckers.
