Yes. Probably. But the way and the reason he left is exactly why Billy
Beane and others turned down the job before.

No one wants to get burned that way (which has happened time and time
again) by the Red Sox top managers. The level of ego and
micro-management and outright stupidity from them is something that
smart top candidates just don't want to deal with.

This is NOT going to help in the candidate search.
