The problem with all of that is that it's unconstitutional especially
as it pertains to free speech.  The trick is to allow all of that to
take place, but take the benefit out of the spin and access.  You can
do that by:

1.) Allowing any commercial, ad, etc, but require a 15% time/space
response to a non-partisan org like FactCheck.org.

2.) Allow lobbying, but only in front of the senate or for
investigative purposes with appropriate rules.  That is, remove
individual access.

3.) Create a non-partisan investigative group similar to the SEC
except for political offenses.

4.) Require federally/state funded elections thus taking the incentive
out of election money.

By doing this you don't violate anyone's right of free speech, but you
also move elections from money driven to idea driven.

The current system rewards great money raisers, not great idea makers.
